My work is about finding the original source of abstraction in art through it’s natural beginnings in the wild. ¬†There is no doubt in my mind, after many years observing the most sublime and abstract natural forms, that abstract art itself is an extension of such observation by the artists who unconsciously began to allow and amalgamate these images into their canvases and sculptures – and all in lockstep with the beginnings of our modern day society and new kinds of freedom never before seen in human culture. Isn’t abstraction at heart the most real and natural thing of all? ¬†Everything is abstract when you take the time to really see it…
