I have been spending summers on Mount Desert Island for seventy-one years (my whole life!). I love hiking through the island’s natural habitats with my camera, seeking out small details and distant vistas. Frogs, in particular, are my friends. I have exhibited my photos in various venues on Mount Desert and in the Philadelphia area where I spend my winters. I’m fortunate to have been an Artemis artist for the past three years. My degree is in History of Art (Bryn Mawr College), but I’m interested in many kinds of visual images. I’m an avid cinephile — during 2017, I saw over 300 films. Visuals of all types influence my work.
