About the artist
I was born in the North East but was raised in California, traveling back to Maine every year of my childhood to spend the summer with my grandparents on Ironbound Island in Frenchman Bay.

In the mid-90's, I moved to Maine with my young family for four years, but then left again in pursuit of studies and jobs, and after many other detours (to Europe and to the West Coast) have settled again in Portland, Maine, this time to stay.

Outside Maine I studied Fine Art and German at the University of California, then studied Graphic Design in Germany, have worked as a graphic designer, computer graphics college teacher and acrylic painter of landscapes and portraits in New York, London and the San Francisco Bay Area.

In all my travels, the road has continually lead me back to Maine where I love to paint the things I see and experience in and around Acadia in particular. I swim in the cold salt water year round and particularly like to paint the rocks in all their glorious textures and colors.
