About the artist
Abigail is a potter and full time reading teacher living in Baltimore MD. She enjoys throwing pots on the wheel as well as hand-building with slabs of clay. Her work is fired primarily in a community wood kiln in Maryland, though she is beginning to explore midrange electric firings as well.
From childhood Abigail has spent summers in Maine. She loves collecting small natural treasures—rocks, bones and shells—and uses these tools to texture the surface of all of her pots, allowing the glazes to break over the repetitive markings beneath.
